Matilda’s Lifestyle is an online retail store which sells lingerie, adult sexual aids, personal grooming and health products and sexual health products to customers in South Africa and certain Southern-African countries. Matilda’s does not have a showroom or a collection point. Orders can be placed through our online ordering system, by email, or by calling our helpline at 0861 227 655.

Due to the nature of our offering, and the legal implications of making an online purchase, you may not browse this site, or place orders thereon, or make purchases thereon, if you are under the age of 18. Your use of this site indicates your awareness and acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Product availability

Lead time is dependent on stock availability. Should we have stock available, orders will be dispatched the same day provided payment is validated/received before 15h00 hours.

Should the product not be in stock, we will contact you to offer a replacement item. Should we not have a suitable replacement item or, should you not be happy with the replacement offered, we will refund you for the purchase. Every effort is made to effect shipment of your order timeously, however unforeseen circumstances may cause delays. Should we be faced with such an occurrence, we will contact you via email or phone and provide a revised shipping schedule.

Delivery Policy 

Matilda’s dispatches through our couriers daily on business days. If your order and payment are received before 3pm, your parcel will be dispatched that day. Orders placed after 3pm are dispatched on the following business day.

Our couriers deliver between 8am and 5pm on business days only. We do not process or deliver orders on public holidays or weekends. Delivery to main centres is overnight. Regional areas are serviced within 5 working days. While we do make every effort to ensure you receive your parcel in good time, unforeseen circumstances may cause delays. We are in no way responsible for such delays.

Should the couriers be unable to effect delivery due to the receiver not being at the delivery address, or due to being furnished with an incorrect or incomplete delivery address or contact number, the parcel will be returned to us. We will make every effort to contact you to arrange re-shipping in this instance. We may charge a re-shipping cost, at our discretion.

When you click to make a purchase with us legal obligations arise and your right to refund of monies charged to your credit card or paid in any other way agreed by us, are limited by our terms & conditions. You must not make any purchase through this site unless you understand and agree all our terms and conditions. Once payment is made for the purchase, it is deemed that you have read and understood the terms and conditions for such purchase. Order processing

Order processing will not begin until we receive a confirmed order and full payment.

Refunds/returns Policy

Cancellations: Should you for any reason wish to cancel your purchase you will be liable for a 15% handling fee, at our discretion. You must advise us in writing of your cancellation and any such cancellation must be signed by the person who made the original purchase. The goods must be returned to us unopened in the original packaging within 14 calendar days. * Note:  We recommend that you use Speed Services Couriers (South African Postal Services) for all returns as it offers shipment tracking through a 24 hours customer helpline. Should you choose to use a carrier that does not offer a tracking facility and the goods are lost then no refund or return will be considered.Please note that we do not accept returns on opened packages unless they are damaged or faulty upon arrival.

International customers should make use of a courier that offers: 1. Shipment tracking. 2. Insure your package for safe return and declare the full value of the shipment failing which loss or damage will be for your account.

Damaged Goods: Should any item in your order be damaged or faulty upon arrival, please contact us immediately. We will replace any damaged or faulty item, by courier, if reported to us within one month of receipt of the parcel.

Faulty Goods – One Year Warranty: The adult products in our catalogue carry a one-year warranty. Should the item become faulty within one year of initial purchase, please contact us to arrange for it to be tested and repaired or replaced. We will ask you to send the item direct to our suppliers in South Africa for testing. Should the item be out of stock or discontinued, and not repairable, we will provide you with a credit voucher in the amount of the original purchase price.

Payment Options and Pricing

All transactions will be processed in South African Rands (ZAR). Matilda’s endeavours to offer you competitive prices on current products: your total order price will include the price of the purchase plus any applicable sales tax and shipping charges (on the day of shipping). Matilda’s Lifestyle reserves the right to change pricing at any time without prior notice.

Credit Card: We accept MasterCard and Visa credit cards. If you do not have a credit card please utilise one of the other payment options. If you do not have your credit card available, or you are having trouble with the 3D Secure payment system, you may need to log out and try again later. All of your order details will be saved online under the Your Account section available for use whenever you’re ready! Sorry for any inconvenience.

EFT (Electronic Fund Transfer): One of the most widely used ways of sending money online. Once you have added enough items to your shopping cart, proceed to “Checkout” and follow the order processing instructions. Select the option to pay via EFT. You will then have to load Matilda’s Lifestyle as a beneficiary on your internet banking and use the unique order number in the reference line for your payment. This should ensure speedy processing and delivery of your selected products.

Direct Deposit: You may pay for your products through a direct deposit. It’s exactly the same as doing an EFT payment, except you’ll have to go into your bank and physically make your direct deposit there. Please fax through your deposit slip to us on 0866 881 922 to ensure your payment is confirmed and order shipped as quickly as possible.

Our 3rd party payment facility processes all credit card transactions. All credit card transactions are 128 bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encrypted. The company registration documents and the site’s registered domain name are Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode.

The Merchant does not have access to credit details. 3. Our 3rd party payment facility continually reviews and enhances its security in line with technological changes.

I understand that all the designs and trademarks are registered to Matilda’s Lifestyle and/ or third parties represented by Matilda’s, and hereby accept the terms and conditions. I undertake not to copy/duplicate the trademarks and designs directly or indirectly in anyway and understand the legal implications thereof. Should I be found to be in violation of this agreement I understand that I will be held liable for all legal costs incurred by Matilda’s Lifestyle for any civil action or any legal action deemed necessary against me.
