Obviously, wearing lingerie to bed for seven nights in a row had a wonderful effect on her sex life, but our writer found a more meaningful benefit to the exercise: 

 "While I'd begun the challenge with (my partner) in mind, it was becoming clear that I was the one who'd reaped the greatest rewards. Just six nights of skimpier sleepwear made me feel immeasurably more comfortable in my skin and my bed.

Yep, investing in some delicious lingerie means you are investing in yourself. You're showing yourself that you think you are worth dressing up for.

Experts found that people who wore a Superman T-shirt under their clothing made wearers feel more confident, which in turn made them behave in a more confident manner. The same rule applies to lingerie.
